PUBLISHED HERE AT LIFESITENEWS-JULY 9, 2023

MARKHAM, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) –– Fans of LifeSiteNews’ “Faith & Reason” show won’t want to miss this chance to speak to panelist and human trafficking expert Elizabeth Yore in person.

On July 18, 2023, Liz will be in the Toronto area for one night only as featured speaker at LifeSiteNews’ 25th Anniversary Canadian Gala. As well as circulating among guests, she will be taking part in our after-dinner “LifeSite Live” event. Given the recent success of the Sound of Freedom film, readers will certainly be interested in hearing what the well-known children’s advocate has to say about the hidden scourge of modern-day slavery.

An Illinois-based attorney, Elizabeth Yore served as a special counsel to Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Inc, as well as to The Oprah Winfrey Show and the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. Before that, she was a general counsel for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Service (DCFS) and the Illinois State-wide Welfare Agency. Liz created the CDFS’s first missing child unit, which required the department to immediately notify the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) when a foster child went missing. In fact, Liz had previously served as a general counsel for the NCMEC. She was the first director of its international division and head of international child abduction cases. The next time you hear the old lie that those pro-lifers “don’t care about children after they’re born,” you might want to read them Liz Yore’s resumé.

“Liz is a firebrand for faith, life, family and freedom,” Editor-in-Chief John-Henry Westen told LifeSiteNews.  “She is a warrior and like Mother Teresa punches above her weight. As a lawyer and activist who has gone deep into the cesspools of abuse, it is amazing to see that she remains nonetheless in good spirits. She is the definition of a happy warrior.”

“Liz Yore is one of a kind: clear-minded, strong, courageous, warm-hearted, and prayerful,” said LifeSite reporter Maike Hickson. “It has been a great joy to work with Liz on multiple stories and for the ‘Faith & Reason’ show, with her expertise, precision of argument, insight and faith. She has been such a gift to LifeSite, with her wide experience in the world of law, the media, and politics. But most of all, she is a prayer warrior, a wife, mother, and grandmother with so much love for our country.”

Liz is among the many pro-life and pro-family heroes whom Canadians and visitors to Canada will have the chance to meet at LifeSite’s Canadian edition of our 25th anniversary gala on July 18, 2023, in Markham, Ontario. Other speakers and special guests include Fr. James Altman, Jonathon Van Maren, Jim Hale, “Save Canada’s” Josh Alexander and COVID jab resisters Dr. Bryam Bridle, Dr. Mark Trozzi, and Dr. Mary O’Connor.
